Presice™ System

Presice™ Features

Presice™ introduces a new era of cryotherapy. Now physicians can offer ablation treatment solutions to their patients who are seeking minimally invasive procedures.

The Presice™ Cryoablation System expands beyond existing ablation solutions with IceVue, MTS and i-Thaw™ technologies for cryosurgery (freezing). Presice™ works with a range of 17-gauge disposable cryoablation needles for truly minimally invasive surgery.

IceVue™ Planning Software
The IceVue™ planning and simulation software is a breakthrough for Urologists performing cryotherapy. This user-friendly software creates a preoperative plan, customized for the patient, to ensure accurate clinical outcomes for prostate cryoablation.

The IceVue™ planning software enables the pre-operative simulation of the procedure. By connecting to any ultrasound system, the planning can be executed on a real-time mage (prostate only). The Auto-plan feature calculates and displays system recommended positioning for each cryoablation needle on a captured ultrasound image. Alternatively, virtual cryoablation needles can be manually placed and the ablation coverage simulated. The resulting isotherm map shows the simulated outcome of the freezing effect and can be adjusted to achieve maximum coverage of the target tissue.

• User-friendly with step-by-step tutorials

• Manual or auto-plan needle placement

• Simulate ablation coverage

• Image snapshot for procedure reports

Multi-point Thermal Sensors (MTS)

Thermal sensors (TS) or multi-point thermal sensors (MTS™) may be inserted into strategic locations in and near the target tissue. Dynamically updated real-time temperature readings verify lethal temperatures within target tissue while controlling impact to surrounding healthy tissue.

Patented multi-point thermal sensors (MTS) record temperatures throughout the gland, or tumor, for a high level of procedure control. User defined temperature targets can be set and visual warnings are displayed during the procedure to alert the physician to take appropriate action.

• Four (4) independent temperature readings for reliability

• Monitor zones of destruction and the area of viability

• Ability to set temperature targets and warnings

i-Thaw™
Presice™ enables a choice between two thaw operating modes, i-Thaw™ or Helium thaw. The new i-Thaw™ supports the use of IceSeed™ i-Thaw™ and IceRod™ i-Thaw™ cryoablation needles. These needles use low pressure Argon to thaw, eliminating the need for Helium tanks for space and cost efficiency. Presice™ cryoablation needles are available in both Helium and i-Thaw™.

Features

• Computer-controlled freeze/thaw

• Supports up to 25 needles on 5 independent channels, 3 MTS and 5 Thermal sensors (TS)

• Flexible, single user operation with articulate arm (270° rotation plus 180° monitor rotation)

• User-friendly 17” touch screen and graphical user interface

• Integrated thermal printer, password protected PDF export to flash memory disk

• Heavy duty wheel design for maximum mobility and 360° turning capability

Indications
Presice™ is intended for cryogenic destruction of tissue during surgical procedures. Presice™ is indicated for use as a cryosurgical tool in the fields of general surgery, dermatology, neurology (including cryoanalgesia), thoracic surgery, ENT, gynecology, oncology, proctology, and urology.

The Presice™ Cryoablation System works with a range of 17-gauge disposable cryoablation needles for truly minimally invasive surgery.
