Get Training for Cryotherapy
with the Aid of Galil Medical
As part of the Galil Medical’s core philosophy and quality commitment to provide minimally invasive cryotherapy solutions to enhance patient quality of life, extensive resources are invested in developing professional education and training programs for physicians, nurses and technicians. Professional training programs promote the use of cryotherapy ablation to meet the healthcare needs of patients.
The Galil Medical cryotherapy platform is a user-friendly, computerized system that allows physicians to perform rapid cycles of freezing and thawing to ablate specific types of prostate cancer, small kidney tumors and other benign and cancerous tissue. The company’s patented ultra-thin 17-gauge cryoablation needles have helped make minimally invasive cryosurgery (freezing) a reality.
Galil Medical supports training programs at top medical facilities across the United States and Europe with the goal to accelerate the use of cryoablation as a minimally invasive treatment option for patients.
Physicians
Physicians interested in becoming cryotherapy specialists may attend one of Galil Medical’s workshops. These workshops are intended for physicians interested in offering their patients minimally invasive cryosurgical ablation treatment option for prostate and renal cancers using Galil Medical cryotherapy systems.
Workshops are led by leading experts in the field of cryotherapy, who present both prostate and renal procedures. In addition, physicians will be trained in the basics of cryobiology, the cellular mechanisms affecting tissue destruction, and lab sessions provide the opportunity to experience cryotherapy hands-on.
Regional Training Workshops
Physician Proctorship
Galil Medical has instituted a Proctoring Program, where new physicians receive one-on-one proctoring by an experienced cryosurgeon for several procedures.
