Galil Medical Board of Directors

Martin J. Emerson
Mr. Emerson has a strong track record of over 20 years of accomplishments in the medical device industry, most recently as President and Chief Executive Officer of American Medical Systems (AMS). During his tenure at AMS, he held executive roles including Vice President and General Manager of International, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining AMS, he held senior roles in the overseas operations for several American-based companies including Baxter International and Boston Scientific. Mr. Emerson serves on the Boards of Wright Medical, Incisive Surgical and Vascular Solutions.

Richard B. Emmitt
Mr. Emmitt is a founder of the Vertical Group, Inc. and has over 30 years in health care industry investment experience including venture capital, investment research, and investment banking. As an Investment Analyst with Cyrus J. Lawrence and F. Eberstadt, Mr. Emmitt was recognized as one of the leading experts on the health care industry by Institutional Investor Magazine. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of American Medical Systems, Inc., BioSet, ENTrigue Surgical, Galil Medical, Incumed, Tepha and Tornier. He previously served on the Boards of Directors of ev3 Inc, OsteoBiologics Inc., SciMed Life Systems, Xomed Surgical Products and Wright Medical. Mr. Emmitt received a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. from the Rutgers School of Business. www.vertical-group.com

Shelly Wall Lanning
Ms. Lanning has spent her entire career in the life sciences field, in strategic, operating and investment roles. For the past ten years she has made late stage healthcare private equity investments as part of the Morgan Stanley Venture Partners healthcare team (6+ years) and HealthCor Partners. Previously, she was a Senior Associate and Kauffman Fellow at Tullis-Dickerson & Co. Prior to the fellowship program, she worked on silicone breast implant litigation focusing on regulatory compliance, product development and manufacturing for medical devices. Her experience includes working in operations for an orthopedic medical device company and as a biotech research analyst at an investment management company. Ms. Lanning earned her M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a degree in Physiology from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Lanning has been a Director of National Healing Corporation, Medsite and Trivirix International and was actively involved with Suros Surgical, pSivida, D-Pharm, and Solstice Neuroscience. www.investorab.com/en/InvestorGrowthCapital.com

James E. Thomas
Mr. Thomas is a co-founder of Thomas, McNerney & Partners and has been investing in health care companies since 1992. Mr. Thomas previously headed Warburg Pincus LLC's medical technology private equity practice where he had responsibility for investments in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic companies. Historical investments include: American Medical Systems Holdings, Inc. (AMMD), Coley Pharmaceuticals (COLY sold to Pfizer), The Medicines Company (MDCO), NeXagen, Inc. (NXGN/NXTR sold to GILD with spin-outs to EYET, Archemix and SomaLogic), OsteoBiologics, Inc. (sold to Smith & Nephew plc), Oxford GlycoSciences, plc (OGSI sold to CLL), Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc. (TKTX sold to SHPGY), Visible Genetics, Inc. (VGIN sold to BAY), Wright Medical Group, Inc. (WMGI) and Xomed Surgical Products, Inc. (XOMD sold to MDT). He is currently a board member of Clarus Therapeutics, Inc., Galil Medical Ltd. and Solstice Neurosciences, Inc. Prior to joining Warburg, Mr. Thomas was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs International in London, England.  Mr. Thomas also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Second Stage Theatre in New York City and the Children's Hospital at Montefiore.
