Galil Medical Names Karen Sarid CFO, COO
and General Manager Galil Medical Israel
Recent investment and organizational change supports continued corporate growth
Yokneam, Israel April 11, 2007 - Galil Medical, a market leader in cryotherapy systems to treat cancer and non-cancerous tumors, today announced the appointment of Karen Sarid as Chief Financial and Operations Officer, and General Manager of Galil Medical Israel.
"The addition of Karen Sarid as CFO and COO to our leadership rounds out a talented global team as we expand cryotherapy treatments in the urology, interventional radiology, and gynecology markets in the United States and Europe,” stated Chen Barir, Chairman and CEO of Galil Medical.
Karen Sarid brings an excellent track record of over 10 years of management and financial experience in global technology companies. As General Manager Galil Medical Israel, Ms. Sarid is responsible for operational leadership of the company's Israeli headquarters. As CFO and COO, she will manage the entire company’s finance and administration.
Ms. Sarid joins Galil Medical from Orex Computed Radiography, a Kodak company, where she held the position of General Manager. Prior to joining Orex, Ms. Sarid served as CFO of Forsoft Ltd. and ESC Medical (which subsequently became Lumenis). In addition, Ms. Sarid serves on the Board of several public companies, including LanOptics, Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., Oridion Systems Ltd. and AudioCodes. Ms. Sarid received a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Haifa University.
